It sounded like “Weeeeeky-bird” instead of “Niiiicky-bird” the way he said it, but you got the idea. He also enjoyed performing his original composition called Variations on “Dixie” in D-flat. He was memorialized in a small, private family service and laid to rest beneath Bob the Lemon Tree.
