Bethelia—There’s a song that goes with this particular nickname, and the words go something like, “Bethelia, Bethelia, the witch of the wood….” I did a little googling, and I have a theory that maybe the song is “Vilia” from The Merry Widow, but I can’t find an audio sample that includes the passage in question. Beth—you need to ask Mom about this one!
