It would be helpful if you sign the things that you add to the site so that everyone will know who gets credit. There’s a really easy way to do it, which is to put ~~~ at the end of whatever you add. When you save the page, the software will substitute [[User:Johnny|Johnny]], which is a link to your User page. Aunt Beth and I been using the User pages to write notes to each other. (We think that’s probably what they’re for….)

You can also make a fancy “signature” graphics like Aunt Anne ( ) and I ( ) have, and link it to your page, like we’ve done. If you want to see how we did it, go to Template:EdSig and look at the code. 

A (late) birthday note…

Johnny,

I just put a late birthday card in the mail to you. Very, very late, that is, because I completely missed your birthday last year. And not just you! I got behind on my birthday routine early in the year (after doing so well for so many years…), and then I got all busy with moving, etc., etc., etc. I finally decided that I would just call 2007 a goner and start fresh in 2008. So your birthday gift is a little more than usual. Enjoy!
